Position: Service Representative-Freight (Night)

Reports to: Delivery Manager

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Starting Pay: $27.00 per hour

Route: Nottingham, MD to Washington, DC

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Night Freight Driver to transport goods between Nottingham and Annapolis, Maryland. This role requires consistent overnight driving, adherence to delivery schedules, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. The Night Freight Driver must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining professionalism on the road and in communications with dispatch and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company vehicle to transport freight between Nottingham and Annapolis.
  • Follow established routes and delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload freight as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any delays or issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to consistently work overnight shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and reliability.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move freight as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous driving or delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning.
  • Experience loading/unloading freight safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual techniques.
  • Understanding of transportation logistics and delivery procedures.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Overnight driving in varying weather and road conditions.
