SUMMARY:
An Oakland, California trucking business is seeking to hire a Freight Billing Admin to join their wonderful team. If you enjoy the challenge of connecting with customers, building relationships, and seizing opportunities, this could be the ideal opportunity for you in 2023 and beyond.
We're seeking someone that knows their numbers and loves working with customers as you will be in charge of overseeing the quotation of all incoming orders for the trucking business. The company specializes in freight transportation from the ocean port to a destination which is either a warehouse or a container freight station (CFS).
REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in Warehousing and Trucking (Exp with Transloads, Overweight Loads, Warehouses / CFS - Container Freight Stations)
  • 2+ years of experience with quotations within the industry (Related Experience Required)
  • Have Port/Terminal Knowledge (Port of Oakland)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise the quotation of all incoming orders.
  • Interact with customers and obtain instructions from them in order to provide our services.
  • Prepare quotations and pro forma invoices (pricing, calculation of weight and volume, freight quotations, and handling costs)
  • Obtain and keep current price structure information for agents
  • Administer orders with special instructions and documentation
  • Establish long-lasting relationships and customer trust through transparent and interactive communication.
  • Communicate with all departments involved in completing quotations
  • Respond in a timely manner to consumer questions and provide relevant solutions and alternatives.
  • Manage customer service relationships and potential accounts to ensure the company's best service.
