What we are looking for

Highly motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service by ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and stocked. Maintains proper rotation of merchandise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under direction of supervisor, safely transports incoming and outgoing merchandise to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to handheld device, forklift, and/or electric pallet jack.
  • Ensures freezer and coolers are properly stocked.
  • Removes damaged merchandise and places it in its designated area.
  • Ensures correct sign and price is displayed for merchandise.
  • Maintains proper rotation of merchandise.
  • Ensures that all perishable products are put into the proper temperature as quickly as possible.
  • Regularly check temperatures in freezers/coolers to ensure proper temperature is maintained.
  • Must always keep safety a priority, to include pedestrian traffic and forklift operation.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, to include maintaining the inside of the freezer/coolers clean.
  • Maintain pricing in the scale used to weigh meats and cheese.
  • Assists customers as needed. Provides excellent customer service.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • 6 months to 1 year of stand up forklift experience.
  • Bilingual preferred.
