Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Staff Coordinator provides clerical support for the Medical Staff Service Department including facilitating credentialing, meeting setup, data entry and other duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required Licenses/Certifications: None
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: None

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
1. Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
2. Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct.
3. Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs.
4. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program.
5. Complies with all HIPAA standards.
6. Facilitates the credentialing process with respect to all new appointments to the Medical and Allied Health Professional Staff; according to the Medical Staff Bylaws.
7. Prepares room-sets/orders meals for assigned committee/department meetings.
8. Maintains accurate Medical/Allied Health Professional Staffs rosters at all times and distributes appropriately.
9. Prepares and distributes monthly Town Call Roster and advises of revisions, as needed.
10. Enters and maintains current data on Medical/Allied Health Professional Staffs members in the Meditech Provider Dictionary.
11. Reviews monthly reappointment listings and processes provisional status correspondence to providers, as needed.
12. Assures follow through of applications to the appropriate clinical departments, committees, and Board of Directors.
13. Is an authorized representative for the District's participation in the National Practitioner Data Bank.
14. May assist in preparing program notices, attendance documentation and program evaluations for continuing education activities.
15. Provides, as requested, support secretarial services to the Medical Staff.
16. Assures pertinent data on Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Staff are entered into Echo, Meditech Provider Dictionary and Dr. First and all information is current and accurate.
17. Assumes other administrative responsibilities which may develop on a day to day basis.
