Freelancers are independent professionals working on a project basis, often remotely and with flexible hours. Contract workers are hired for specific periods or projects, sometimes on-site, and may require industry-specific credentials. While both roles involve temporary work, freelancers typically have more independence, whereas contract workers are more integrated into the employer's organization during their contract.

What kind of jobs can you freelance?

Freelancers can work in a wide range of fields including writing, graphic design, web development, programming, digital marketing, photography, consulting, and administrative support. These jobs often require specific skills, tools, and the ability to manage flexible schedules, with many roles performed remotely or on a project basis.

What are the jobs of a freelancer?

A freelancer is a self-employed professional who offers services across various fields such as writing, graphic design, programming, marketing, and consulting. They typically work on project-based assignments, set their own schedules, and may need skills in specific tools or platforms to manage their work and clients.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Freelancer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Freelancer, you need strong expertise in your chosen field, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently, often supported by a relevant portfolio or proven track record. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools, invoicing software, and freelance platforms is typically necessary to streamline work and manage clients. Excellent communication, time management, and adaptability are standout soft skills for building client relationships and handling diverse assignments. These skills and qualities are essential for delivering high-quality work, maintaining client satisfaction, and sustaining a successful freelance business.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

Freelancers can earn $2000 a week by offering high-demand skills such as web development, graphic design, or digital marketing on freelance platforms. Building a strong portfolio, setting competitive rates, and consistently acquiring clients are essential to reaching this income level, often requiring a full-time commitment and efficient time management.

What are some common challenges freelancers face when managing multiple clients simultaneously?

Freelancers often juggle several projects for different clients at once, which can present challenges in time management, setting boundaries, and prioritizing tasks. Balancing deadlines, responding promptly to client communications, and ensuring consistent quality across all projects requires strong organizational skills. Many freelancers find it helpful to use project management tools and clear contracts to set expectations and avoid scope creep. Establishing a routine and regularly reviewing workloads can also help maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What is the best freelance job for beginners?

For beginners, freelance jobs such as data entry, content writing, graphic design, or social media management are popular options due to low entry barriers and the availability of online training. These roles often require basic skills, a computer, and internet access, making them accessible for those starting out in freelancing.

What are freelancers?

Freelancers are self-employed professionals who offer their skills and services to clients on a project or contract basis, rather than working as full-time employees for a single company. They have the flexibility to choose their clients, set their own schedules, and often work remotely. Freelancers can work in a variety of fields such as writing, graphic design, programming, marketing, and more. They are responsible for managing their own business operations, including invoicing, taxes, and finding new clients.

Job description

Game Seven Agency, an Excel Sports Management Company, is a full service creative and experiential agency that lives for sport, music and culture. From the biggest moments to the smallest details, we pride ourselves on being in the know and building relationships that matter, for brands that matter.
Our team is comprised of creatives, strategists, producers, designers, project managers, influencer managers, filmmakers, volunteers, activists, ballplayers, hypebeasts, social media moguls, runners, mixologists, party promoters, hip-hop elitists, show-bingers, hot-take havers, vintage t-shirt collectors, fitness fanatics, pet parents, plant parents, human parents, and general good time havers.
Clients include Hennessey, Nike, Jordan, Spotify, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon, Timberland, Oakley, Footlocker, Chime, Fanatics, Bleacher Report, Uninterrupted, and more.
The Role
Game Seven is seeking a full-time Freelance Recruiting Manager to identify, recruit, and pipeline best-in-class creative, strategy, digital, and production talent. This is a permanent, internal role dedicated to building and sustaining the freelance talent infrastructure that powers our work.
This role sits at the intersection of talent sourcing, recruitment strategy, and creative operations. You will own the end-to-end process of finding, vetting, and cultivating a dynamic freelance network - from designers and creative directors to producers and editors - ensuring we always have the right talent ready when projects demand it.
You are equal parts recruiter, relationship-builder, and operator. You thrive in fast-paced environments, understand the rhythms of a creative agency, and take genuine pride in knowing the talent landscape better than anyone in the room.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Recruitment
  • Proactively identify, vet, and recruit a bench of freelance creative and production talent across all experience levels
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines across disciplines including design, art direction, strategy, video production, experiential, and emerging skill sets
  • Own and evolve a structured freelance database, including rates, availability, specialties, and performance history
  • Stay deeply tapped into industry networks, communities, and cultural movements to continuously surface new and emerging voices
  • Conduct outreach and intake conversations to assess fit, establish relationships, and qualify talent before project needs arise

Pipeline Development & Relationship Management
  • Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with freelancers so we are always a preferred partner when they're available
  • Maintain warm pipelines across all key disciplines so the agency can move quickly when opportunities arise
  • Represent Game Seven's brand and culture compellingly when recruiting freelance talent

Operations & Process
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, & Operations on freelancer onboarding, contracting, and rate negotiation
  • Ensure a smooth and professional onboarding experience that reflects well on the agency
  • Maintain clear documentation around freelance talent pipelines and recruitment activity
  • Help refine and scale freelance recruitment processes as the agency grows
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent recruitment, a creative agency, production company, or related environment
  • Proven track record of sourcing and building freelance creative or production talent pipelines
  • Strong understanding of creative disciplines and production workflows
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • An existing network within creative and/or production communities is a strong plus
  • Experience in culture-driven, sports, or entertainment marketing is a plus

The pay range for this position is $85,000 - 100,000
