Job Description
AECOM's Water Division is actively seeking a motivated and collaborative Water Design-Build Project Manager to support the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus in the southeastern United States. Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage the delivery of design-build water and wastewater projects from early planning through construction completion.
- Coordinate and oversee multi-discipline design teams across AECOM's design centers to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assist with procurement of process equipment and subcontractors, including participation in bid evaluations and subcontract negotiations.
- Contribute to project scheduling, cost control, and forecasting activities, including job cost reporting and estimates at completion (EAC).
- Participate in constructability reviews, value engineering efforts, and risk management discussions.
- Support design-build pursuits by contributing to proposal development, pricing strategies, and technical approaches.
- Collaborate closely with construction teams during execution to support field coordination, issue resolution, and client communications.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to promote successful project outcomes.
- Travel to project sites and other AECOM offices as needed to support project delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience delivering water or wastewater projects using design-build methods or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid driver's license that allows you to drive during the course of your employment; subject to motor vehicle records review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting progressive design-build, lump sum design-build, or CMAR project delivery approaches.
- Desire to participate in organizations such as the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) or Water Collaborative Delivery Association (WCDA).
- Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals with the ability to facilitate technical and commercial discussions.
- Proven ability to manage and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Experience with project cost controls, earned value analysis, and budget forecasting.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness, including subcontract management and construction contract fundamentals.
- Experience managing projects in the $10M+ range.
- DBIA certification preferred but not required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience working with local and state regulatory agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and project partners.
Additional Information
- Short-term travel is expected and generally up to 5-10%, depending on project workload.
