The candidate will assist with all application builds, maintain MDB versioning across all environments, enforce build process standards and timelines, provide maintenance and support for all application builds and work with the Application Development team to ensure builds are error free.

Explanation for Position:

The Senior Applications Developer is primary responsible for developing and supporting the GTS Global Freight Forwarding System.

This position requires collaboration with customers, internal application groups and project managers to perform the Analysis, Design and Implementation phases.

Details of Position:

The successful candidate must have development experience in ASP .NET and Classic ASP applications.

He/she must be an expert with Client/Server concepts, Object oriented programming and Web development. Web application development skills in C#/.Net is a plus.

Management Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position. Demonstrated aptitude in both Project Management and Software Development Methodology are pre-requisites for this position.

Ability to work independently, and be able to multitask, and strong problem solving skills are must to have.

Immediate development and support work is required in BIA infrastructure (BIA Core) that affects all BIA applications.

Details of Position:

• Support the development of business requirements and program specifications
• Assist in the creation of project timelines
• Work closely with management team to design application flow
• Create and maintain various web applications
• Design and implement database scheme and process flow
• Develop, analyze and execute system test plans
• Analyze data to determine necessary data constraints
• Analyze various web based applications for performance related issues
• Take full ownership of applications as it relates to automating production posting cycles and communicating with the various stakeholders
