To thrive as a Freelance Video Editor, you need strong proficiency in video editing, storytelling, and knowledge of post-production workflows, often supported by a portfolio of completed projects. Expertise in industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, along with familiarity with motion graphics and color grading, is typically required.
