Duties
Help

• Manages the end-to-end life cycle of complex projects within the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) innovation Hub.
• Establishes work procedures to meet desired objectives for program.
• Ensures compliance with DoD regulations, federal statutes and standards.
• Coordinate with senior leadership for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) certification, development, and testing to meet the needs of the Army.
• Maintains knowledge of latest modernization advances in technologies involved in Unmanned Aerial Systems through multiple resources and contacts.
• Develops standard operating procedures concerning Unmanned Aerial Systems testing and certification operations.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Occasional TDY travel may be required.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: : One year of specialized experience which includes: Ensuring Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) policies are met; Recommending improvements for future projects by reviewing technical data; and Creating project plans for Unmanned Aerial System. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
