Familiarity with editing tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and style guides like AP or Chicago Manual is typically required. Social Media & Content Coordinator (Part-Time, ~32 hrs/wk)

My Healthy Penguin

Rancho Cucamonga, CA • On-site

$20 - $24/hr

Part-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

We need someone to run the train.
Not drive it. Not design it. Run it. Keep it moving, on time, and full.
My Healthy Penguin is a meal prep company that cooks, packs, and delivers thousands of fresh meals every week across the Inland Empire. We also stock smart fridges in offices and gyms. We're growing fast, the work is real, and the kitchen does not slow down for anyone.
Our content engine needs a project manager with great relationship skills. Someone who lives for closed loops, full calendars, and "yes, it's already posted."
What you'll actually do
  • Keep a 4-week content calendar full across IG, TikTok, Facebook, and email. Schedule the posts. Write the captions. Hit publish.
  • Coordinate our roster of freelance creators (photo, video, editing). Post the gigs, assign the work, manage shoot days, keep the budget tight
  • Run our affiliate and partner list. Send them assets, chase them down, make sure their posts actually go live.
  • Watch DMs, comments, tags, and mentions every day. Save the good UGC. Send the customer service stuff to ops.
  • End each week with a one-page report: what posted, what worked, what's coming next.

You'll fit if you
  • Have 1-2+ years of hands-on social media, content, or marketing work. Agency, brand, or scrappy freelance all count.
  • Already know your way around Instagram and TikTok. You can post a Reel, set up a carousel, write a caption, use trending audio, and you actually pay attention to what's working on the platforms right now.
  • Are obsessively organized. You like checklists. You actually close tabs.
  • Can talk to creators, partners, and customers without making it weird. DM, email, text, in person.
  • Can show up in Rancho Cucamonga for shoot days and content runs.
  • Move fast. Catch your own mistakes. Ask sharp questions. Don't wait to be told twice.

You'll hate this job if you
  • Want to be the brand strategist on day one.
  • Have never posted anything publicly and want to learn on our account.
  • Need a polished agency environment with quarterly off-sites.
  • Get rattled when plans shift mid-week (they will).
  • Think "I'll get to it tomorrow" is an acceptable response.

What you get
  • $20-24/hr, ~32 hrs/week, with room to grow into more hours, more pay, and more responsibility as you prove it. First 90 days we set clear numbers together: posts per week, creator rotation, tracking. Hit them and we expand the role.
  • You'll learn how a real D2C food brand runs from the inside. Marketing, ops, kitchen, fulfillment. We don't hide anything from people who do the work.
  • Bonus points for Canva chops or food / fitness / wellness brand experience.

How to apply (If you don't do this, we won't consider your submission)
Send us:
  1. A short note on why this role fits you (no cover letter cosplay, just talk to us).
  2. 2-3 examples of social accounts, campaigns, or shoots you helped run. Even small stuff counts if you can explain what you did.
  3. One thing you'd change about @myhealthypenguin on Instagram if we hired you tomorrow.
