Job Opportunity

Junior / Freelance PHP Developer (Remote – Startup SaaS Platform)

We are assisting an early-stage software startup in finding an enthusiastic developer to support the development of a growing SaaS platform. The company is building a web-based platform that helps businesses optimise their data. As an early-stage product, the team is looking for someone who enjoys building things, contributing ideas, and helping shape a platform as it grows. This role is ideal for a junior developer or student looking to gain practical experience working on a live software platform. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute directly to real product development and improvements.

About the Role

You will work closely with the founder to help develop and improve the platform. The role requires someone proactive who enjoys problem solving and can help implement features and improvements efficiently when needed. One of the first tasks will be helping establish a local development environment so development and testing can take place prior to releasing updates to the production server.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of the SaaS platform
  • Build and maintain a local development and testing environment
  • Implement new features and improvements
  • Fix bugs and improve performance
  • Contribute ideas to improve the product
  • Support deployment preparation for production releases

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with PHP development (Laravel preferred)
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases
  • Basic understanding of Linux / Ubuntu server environments
  • Ability to work independently and deliver agreed tasks
  • A good eye for UI/UX improvements
