Job description

Our client, a personal care manufacturing company, is looking for Analytical Chemist to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Kenilworth. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in R&D or quality control environment.
  • Contract Role: Approx. 6 months
  • Pay: $40/hr on W2
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory testing, interpret technical data, and prepare accurate scientific reports and presentations.
  • Independently develop, validate, and document new or existing test methods and SOPs in compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements.
  • Serve as an analytical expert to support various internal departments, including Global Safety, Product Development, and Engineering.
  • Proactively identify issues, design experimental protocols, and provide data-driven solutions to address R&D challenges.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members and act as a principal investigator on projects when required.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant laboratory environment through equipment maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related scientific field, with a Master's degree considered a strong asset.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within an R&D analytical services or quality control environment.
  • Must demonstrate hands-on expertise and theoretical knowledge in chromatography (LC/GC), spectroscopy (e.g., FTIR, UV, ICP-OES), and general wet chemistry techniques.
  • Strong written and oral skills to effectively convey complex technical data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be familiar with GMP and EH&S standards and demonstrate an ongoing willingness to learn new analytical techniques and equipment.
