We are seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded DevSecOps Engineer with a strong background in supporting enterprise-scale programs. This individual will be part of a fast-paced production support and deployment team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in application architecture, cloud infrastructure, automation, documentation, installations, shell scripting, backup and recovery concepts, and application troubleshooting. Responsibilities include developing automation scripts, implementing patches, administering updates, and applying configuration changes to meet project needs. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Develop and deploy automated deployment and upgrades in the form of scripts, patches, data loads, backups, build pipeline, and testing through Ansible and Jenkins
• Understand and deploy quality and security scanning such as SonarQube, Fortify, Checkmarx, etc.
• Write code and documentation to ensure performance and consistency across the project
• Have a deep understanding of Release Management (RM) and source control
• Work with software and delivery teams to ensure new features maintain data consistency and performance levels WHAT WE REQUIRE: Minimum Qualifications: • Clearance Level: Secret or ability to obtain • Education: Bachelors or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related technical experience
• Experience with commercial cloud service providers (AWS Preferred, Azure or GCP). • Security mindset with experience tracking and remediating vulnerabilities (Security auditing experience). • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab or other cloud hosted products such as Azure DevOps, Code Pipeline, and Code Deploy. • Experience in source code control and build archival (Git, Artifactory)
• Basic experience with containers and container orchestration systems (Docker, Kubernetes). • Experience setting up monitoring tools at an end user level, and enterprise level. • Experience using scripting languages to automate routine tasks bash, Python, Groovy, etc.
• Experience deploying and maintaining highly available fault-tolerant systems at scale. • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills. • Experience with Agile software development processes. • Effective communication skills including technical writing and documentation. • Strong ability and desire to work across teams, and with clients on a regular basis. • Experience with one or more of the following OS is required: Linux (Red Hat or Centos preferred), Windows • Experience in the following Cloud technology or equivalent: VPC, EC2, EBS, RDS, SecurityHub, CloudWatch • DoD 8570 IAT level II certified (Security +) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working on DoD/Federal development projects • Experience being a part of a development pipeline to ‘Go-Live’ • Experience deploying and working with Appian platform • Experience with Databases and SQL • Experience using Jira and Confluence • Desired Service Experience in the following: ELB, Endpoint Services, IAM, Route 53, S3, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Cloud Trail, KMS Equal Employment Opportunity Statement HumanIT Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
