Senior Application Developer will support the maintenance, enhancement, modernization, and ongoing support of student-focused enterprise applications serving students, parents, teachers, counselors, and school administrators. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, deployment, integration, and support of secure, scalable, and accessible web-based applications. The position will contribute to improving student services, educational outcomes, and operational efficiency through modern technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in .NET application development, API integrations, and educational technology environments. Location & Work Type Location: Remote, California Work Type: Remote Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and support enterprise Student Applications used by students, parents, teachers, counselors, and school administrators. Modernize existing student systems using .NET Core, Angular, APIs, and cloud-based technologies. Design and implement integrations between student information systems, district applications, and external educational platforms. Gather requirements from educational stakeholders and recommend technology solutions that improve student services and operational efficiency. Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to educational environments. Support student enrollment, attendance, academic planning, parent engagement, compliance reporting, and other educational initiatives through technology solutions. Lead application design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable application solutions. Qualifications Required: Minimum 5 years of experience developing complex .NET web applications, APIs, workflows, and database-driven solutions. Experience designing and supporting student-facing and school-based applications. Experience developing solutions for student enrollment, registration, attendance, academic planning, parent engagement, student services, compliance reporting, or educational administration. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles for students, parents, educators, and school administrators. Experience integrating student information systems (SIS), educational platforms, and third-party services through REST/SOAP APIs. Preferred (Optional): K-12 education, higher education, or public-sector experience. Experience supporting Student Information Systems (SIS). Experience with parent portals, student portals, online registration systems, educational planning applications, or learning support systems. Knowledge of student data privacy and security requirements. Experience implementing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
