Job description

The 1000heads Account team is a proud, powerful collective of social media obsessives who are experts in managing client relationships and delivering best-in-class, social-first campaigns.

As a Freelance Account Manager, you will play a key role in leading day-to-day client communications while partnering cross-functionally with Creative, Strategy, Production, Design, and Insights teams to deliver high-quality, integrated campaigns. This role requires a strong balance of client service, project management, and hands-on production oversight across social, digital, and ATL executions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, solution-oriented Account Manager with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume agency environment. The ideal candidate brings agency experience across both account management and production, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.

A strong understanding of social platforms and hands-on experience managing in-person event execution, particularly staffing and coordinating creators on-site, is essential.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid (2 days/week) from one of our U.S. offices: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Miami
  • 2-5 years of agency experience, with a mix of account management and production experience (content, campaign, or event production)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-channel campaigns and production workflows
  • Strong budget management and financial tracking skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable leading day-to-day account management responsibilities independently
  • Deep understanding of social platforms and digital content ecosystems
  • Culturally connected with a passion for social media, content, and emerging trends
Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day client communication and build strong, trusted relationships
  • Develop innovative, creative solutions in response to client briefs and campaign needs
  • Gain a deep understanding of client brands, categories, and audiences
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities

Production & Campaign Delivery:

  • Manage IRL and virtual event activations, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support where needed (some travel required)
  • Partner closely with internal production teams to manage end-to-end campaign execution, including content shoots, digital asset production, and integrated campaign rollouts
  • Support and oversee production timelines, deliverables, and approvals, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Collaborate on brief development, ensuring clarity across creative, production, and strategy teams
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and align with agreed creative and production standards

Project & Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and scopes of work
  • Produce accurate cost estimates and manage budgets in partnership with Account Director and Production teams
  • Ensure all work is approved prior to execution and stays within budget
  • Track and manage billing processes to ensure timely completion

Internal Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless workflow across departments
  • Maintain clear documentation and centralized project files
  • Support the development of client presentations, reports, and reviews
  • Ensure senior stakeholders are aligned and engaged at key stages
