Hybrid from our office in Culver City, CA – Ability to go into office 3-4x/week.

Description:

Reports into the VP of the Digital Studio with a dotted line to Brand Director (The Pet Collective and People Are Awesome) in Los Angeles. The producer will work hand-in-hand with our editorial teams, this role will contribute to the Digital Studio team’s efforts to create short and long-form digital content for TPC’s social channels and website. They will also participate in the development and production of original social content for other social brands within the company.

The ideal candidate is comfortable serving as a one-person-band. In addition to being a strong creative thinker, the Producer should be a creative video expert with excellent writing skills, a deep understanding of short-and long-form video content and production, and an extensive knowledge of best practices for audience engagement on all social. Further, this position will require experience in shooting, lighting, recording audio, and hands‑on producing and editing.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce and manage assigned video content and original series video production in conjunction with the studio production team
  • Assist in the management and tracking of the Brand Production Slate
  • Create and present scripts or outlines to Brand Director, VP Digital Studio and Sr. Producers
  • Work with our editorial teams to create programming across all major social platforms
  • Work with editorial teams and Brand Director/ VP, Digital Studio and Senior Producer to plan original video that aligns with the brand’s annual content themes and social trends
  • Deliver projects with the highest quality in a timely manner and on budget
  • Develop workable budgets, work plans and realistic timetables
  • Help coordinate internal requirements to define project objectives, tasks and deliverables, including coordinating with in-house creatives, freelancers, cast, crew and production partners
  • Be willing to help with the entire spectrum of production work, from small to large budget productions
  • Other duties as assigned by Brand Director and Vice President, Digital Studio
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a creative producer or director in a production environment (social, digital, broadcast)
  • Deep knowledge of and experience creating content for all social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Comfortable concepting, shooting, editing, and posting content on social
  • As an editor, proficient in Premiere, Photoshop
  • As a shooter, proficient in iPhone videography and DSLR cameras (visual and sound)
  • Knowledge/understanding of standard production/post-tech tools and workflow
  • Excellent writer
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights/weekends as requested
  • Familiarity and experience working with, casting and recruiting talent, social influencers and creators
  • Passion for the digital entertainment and content
  • Experience executing from inception through editorial and completion of project
  • Strong organizational, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge
  • Experience with project management software
