The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a creative and collaborative Senior Multimedia Producer to join our Information Technology team in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to produce high-impact video, photography, and multimedia content that supports university leadership, research initiatives, alumni engagement, philanthropy efforts, and campus-wide events. The successful candidate will manage projects from concept through completion while helping shape the visual storytelling that advances the university's mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of multimedia production, including concept development, scriptwriting, filming, directing, editing, post-production, and archiving of video content.
  • Plan and execute professional photography sessions, including scheduling, location scouting, lighting, composition, image editing, and color correction.
  • Capture and produce multimedia content for university events, research initiatives, leadership communications, alumni and donor engagement efforts, and strategic institutional projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train student employees involved in photography and video production, ensuring quality standards and timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with university leadership, internal stakeholders, external partners, and freelance vendors to identify project needs, establish timelines, and deliver effective multimedia solutions.
  • Maintain and organize audio, video, and photographic archives while ensuring proper operation and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Stay current with emerging multimedia technologies, industry trends, and best practices, recommending process improvements and innovative approaches.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism, Videography, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of professional multimedia production experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in video production, photography, audio production, visual storytelling, and content creation, supported by a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and related creative tools.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience developing scripts, storyboards, and creative concepts from initial idea through final delivery.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel as needed and provide occasional evening and weekend event coverage.
