Position Overview

The Executive Producer is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality production work across a range of pharmaceutical marketing initiatives. This role ensures alignment with client objectives while upholding a strong standard of craft, consistency, and operational rigor.

At BGB Group, a healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising agency, this role supports work across leading global brands in HCP, DTC, and omnichannel environments. The Executive Producer operates as both a strategic partner and a hands-on production lead, contributing to both high-level planning and detailed execution as required.

This role functions within a lean team structure and is expected to scale production capabilities through freelance and contract resources based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities


Production Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end production across a range of deliverables, including integrated campaigns (CTV, video, social, digital, experiential), photo and video shoots, KOL engagements, artist commissions, illustration, CG, and audio content (e.g., podcasts).
  • Ensure all work is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to defined quality standards.
  • Maintain oversight across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.


Craft & Quality Stewardship

  • Uphold a high standard of creative and production excellence across all outputs.
  • Apply strong judgment and attention to detail to ensure work meets both client expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Partner with creative and strategy teams to ensure production enhances and protects the integrity of the idea.


Client Engagement

  • Participate in client-facing discussions related to production scope, timing, budgets, and executional considerations.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance to support decision-making and alignment.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with client stakeholders.


Team & Resource Management

  • Collaborate within a small core team, contributing to a flexible and adaptable working model.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage freelance and contract production resources as needed.
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to ensure efficient and effective execution.


Operational Management

  • Develop and maintain production workflows that support efficiency, clarity, and scalability.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes, timelines, and best practices.
  • Partner cross-functionally with account, creative, strategy, and media teams.


Financial Oversight

  • Support development and management of project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Track production costs and ensure alignment with approved estimates.
  • Contribute to forecasting and financial planning as needed.


Contracts, Rights & Negotiation

  • Oversee production-related contracts, including scopes of work, talent agreements, and vendor terms.
  • Manage usage rights, licensing, and talent negotiations in alignment with project needs and budget parameters.
  • Ensure clear understanding and application of contractual obligations across internal and external teams.


Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in creative production, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-channel production projects from concept through delivery.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and executional level (player-coach mindset).
  • Experience managing freelance talent and external production partners within a flexible resourcing model.
  • Experience navigating union and non-union production environments, with an understanding of associated requirements and implications.
  • Working knowledge of production contracts, talent rights, usage, and negotiation processes.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 USD

BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee's primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
