Job description

Description Performs duties related to the operations of the campground, front desk and camp store at the Twin Coves Park. Enforces Twin Coves Park, Parks and Recreation Division, and Town rules and regulations. Examples of Duties EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks necessary for successful operations of Twin Coves Park front desk and camp store.

Supports other areas within the Twin Coves Park by assisting with special events, minor housekeeping (cabins), and facility coverage issues in the absence of staff. Attends mandatory training and in-service meetings. Informs supervisor of all work-related activities.

Adheres to the personnel, safety, and divisional policies and procedures of the Town. Assists co-workers and other divisions as needed. Greets Twin Coves Park guests; answers questions regarding the Twin Coves Park and/or the Town of Flower Mound; answers phones.

Checks-in and checks-out RV and cabin rentals. Receives customers and assists in booking overnight campers in RV slips and cabins. Takes reservations over the phone and online from park guests.

Sells Annual Passes to residents/non-residents. Rents and takes payment for pavilion rentals within the park. Provides tours of Twin Coves Park.

Rents out kayak, paddle boards, and other miscellaneous recreational equipment to visitors and guests. Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks to include answering phones, filing, organizing, etc. Receives money and provides correct change for guest.

Sells concessions and retail items at the Twin Coves Park camp store; provides exceptional customer service. Ensures office and camp store are clean. Stocks retail store to ensure product is presentable and available.

Communicates with Supervisor when inventory levels are low and needs to be replenished. Performs site inspections of cabin, RV sites, and restroom facility, and makes pertinent maintenance/safety recommendations to supervisor. May be called upon to assist staff in preparing cabins for rent (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down counters, making beds, and other general household cleaning).

Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.

Must have a valid Texas driver's license and driving record must be in compliance with Town policy. EDUCATION: CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred. WORK EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of customer service experience is preferred, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Must submit to and pass a post-offer, non-regulated drug test and thorough background checks (including criminal history.) Desired Qualifications KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communicative skills, both oral and written. Must maintain an effective and pleasant working relationship with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers. Must be able to work various hours, including evenings and weekends as required

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to talk, see, hear, read, and work in adverse environmental conditions. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities to include running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment.
