Job description

Theodore Robbins Ford is a trusted Ford dealership serving the Costa Mesa, CA community. We are looking for an experienced Brake & Front End Technician to join our service team. If you have a strong background in brake systems, wheel alignments, and suspension repair โ€” and take pride in doing the job right โ€” we want to hear from you.


What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair brake systems, including disc and drum service, rotor and pad replacement, caliper repair, and brake fluid flushes
  • Diagnose ride, handling, and tire wear problems using wheel alignment and balancing equipment
  • Inspect and repair front-end suspension and steering components, including tie rods, ball joints, control arms, and wheel bearings
  • Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and Ford factory standards
  • Coordinate with the parts department to source required components; save and tag warranty parts as needed
  • Identify additional safety or service needs and communicate findings promptly to the service advisor
  • Document all work performed accurately on the repair order
  • Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repair quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all OSHA and safety requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on brake and front-end suspension repair experience
  • Strong diagnostic skills across brake, steering, and suspension systems
  • Experience with wheel alignment and balancing equipment
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
