Job description

Over the years, Ophthalmology LTD's name provides the highest quality of comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Highly trained ophthalmologists, as well as experienced optometrists, combine their considerable expertise to give each and every patient the best possible care. Ophthalmology LTD delivers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as cornea transplants, oculoplastic surgery, retina surgery, and vitreoretinal surgery in Sioux Falls.

Our "eye only" ambulatory surgery center hosts the region's most experienced, comprehensive ophthalmic surgery and subspecialty surgeons.

We are looking to add a Registered Nurse - Pre-Admission to our team. This person will act as part of a team to provide direct and indirect care and support to patients before and after eye surgery, prioritizing responsibilities such as H&P validation, conducting preoperative phone calls to ensure our patients are prepared before their surgery, assisting patients prior to YAG laser treatment, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-volume surgery center, and the candidate must be professional and able to stay on task while providing quality patient care. The individual must be able to perform the essential job functions including visual acuity and the ability to communicate effectively with our patients. Reasonable accommodations may be made as long as the accommodation does not cause undue hardship.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday primary hours. No evenings, nights, or weekend shifts, and no call.

Licensing, education, and training requirements:

  • Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Current South Dakota RN license
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • ACLS

We provide competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package including: Healthcare, dental, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, life insurance, AD&D, extended sick leave, short-term disability, long-term disability, and eye care benefits.

We are an EO employer and are committed to providing equal opportunities in employment, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or other protected characteristics.
