The ideal candidate will leverage their clinical skills to foster resilience, healing, and an improved quality of life for individuals facing psychological challenges.

About the Organization

Mindful Perspective Moments Therapy is an outpatient mental health clinic based in Richmond, Virginia, committed to delivering high-quality, accessible mental health services to individuals of all ages. Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages healing and personal growth. We specialize in providing evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique mental health needs, focusing on conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health disorders.

Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will work in a fully remote setting, providing the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while also accommodating clients' varying schedules, including some evening and weekend hours for therapy sessions. While you will primarily work from home, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that values communication and mutual support. In this remote model, our commitment to client-centered care remains paramount, ensuring that we meet the needs of our clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to gather crucial information on clients' mental health concerns, personal strengths, and available resources.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, setting clear goals and interventions.
  • Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans to support clients in times of acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in compliance with ethical standards and relevant laws.
  • Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions and psychoeducation workshops aimed at improving client understanding of mental health topics and promoting coping strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, each seeking to navigate a wide array of mental health issues. Your work will directly contribute to improving their mental wellness and overall life satisfaction through tailored therapeutic approaches. Many clients will present with complex psychological histories, allowing you to apply and further develop your clinical expertise in a meaningful way.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health or outpatient clinical setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical assessment skills are paramount to successful therapeutic engagement with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in conducting trauma-informed care and utilizing diagnostic tools to guide treatment decisions.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient client documentation and care coordination.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach or mental health awareness initiatives is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, as well as a signing bonus. Benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage, including medical, dental, and vision care.
  • Retirement plans with employer match to foster financial security and future planning.
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation days, personal leave, and paid holidays.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Support for licensure renewal and related expenses.

At Mindful Perspective Moments Therapy, we are committed to the professional development of our employees. We offer pathways for career advancement, including opportunities to lead special projects, develop specialty programs, or take on supervisory roles. Our environment encourages mentorship and continuous learning, empowering your career trajectory in mental health.
