We are currently redesigning PaceMate.com and are seeking an experienced freelance web designer to bring a much higher level of strategy, polish, and sophistication to the project.
About the Project:
PaceMate is looking for a seasoned freelance web designer to take ownership of the visual design direction for our new website under tight timelines.
We are not looking for a developer. We need a senior digital designer with deep experience designing modern, high-performing websites for technology-forward companies, SaaS organizations, healthcare technology companies, and B2B enterprise brands.
The ideal designer will be able to quickly step into an active redesign project, assess current creative direction, elevate the visual experience, and deliver polished, approval-ready website designs and reusable design components.
What You’ll Do:
The designer selected will be responsible for creating high-quality website design concepts and final design deliverables for the new PaceMate.com experience.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Review existing homepage and website redesign concepts and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop a stronger visual design direction for PaceMate.com
  • Design an elevated, modern, enterprise-ready homepage experience
  • Create page design templates for key website sections, which may include:
    • Homepage
    • Platform / solution pages
    • Product or feature pages
    • Customer / outcomes pages
    • Resource or blog landing pages
    • About / company pages
    • Conversion-focused landing pages
  • Create visual systems and reusable design components to support the full website build
  • Translate brand guidelines into a sophisticated digital experience
  • Design with B2B healthcare buyers in mind, including:
    • health system executives
    • electrophysiologists
    • cardiac device clinicians
    • clinical operations stakeholders
  • Collaborate with PaceMate’s marketing team and website technology development partner to ensure developers are properly applying new design to build components
  • Deliver presentation-ready design files for stakeholder review and approval
  • Provide design direction that the web development team can execute cleanly
Key Deliverables:
Final deliverables to include:
  • Approved homepage design concept
  • Approved interior page design concepts
  • Website design system / component library
  • Design direction for typography, spacing, imagery, iconography, and UI components
  • Responsive design guidance for desktop and mobile
  • Annotated design files or visual notes for developers
  • Exported PDF designs for leadership review and approval
  • Source files in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Final design assets and components ready for handoff to the development team
What We’re Looking For:
We need someone who can help PaceMate’s website feel like the category-leading healthcare technology company we are.
You should be able to bring:
  • Excellent design taste as demonstrated by portfolio examples
  • Strong digital design instincts
  • Healthcare or SaaS fluency
  • Clear rationale for your design decisions
  • The ability to balance design polish with business goals
  • Speed and flexibility in a high-priority project
Required Experience
  • 7+ years of professional digital design or web design experience
  • Strong portfolio of modern B2B website design work
  • Demonstrated experience designing websites for:
    • SaaS companies
    • healthcare technology companies
    • medtech companies
    • enterprise technology companies
    • or other complex B2B organizations
  • Ability to design strategic, sophisticated, conversion-oriented website experiences
  • Strong understanding of website UX principles, even though this is primarily a visual design role
  • Experience designing for multiple buyer personas and complex products
  • Ability to create polished executive-facing design presentations
  • Comfort working quickly and independently in a fast-moving project environment
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience designing for healthcare or life sciences companies
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS website redesigns
  • Familiarity with B2B demand generation and conversion-focused page design
  • Experience designing websites for audiences that include clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with external website development agencies
  • Strong eye for modern UI, clean information hierarchy, and premium brand presentation
Portfolio Requirements:
A detailed portfolio is required.
Please include examples of:
  • Full website redesigns of B2B healthcare SaaS or technology websites
  • Homepage designs
  • Healthcare, digital health, and/or life sciences websites, if available
