Page Six is seeking a bold, sharp, and pop culture-obsessed Social Media Editor who lives and breathes celebrity news. The ideal candidate will be deeply engaged in the social landscape, skilled in video and social graphic editing, fluent in emerging trends, and adept at producing compelling content that connects with a broad, news-driven audience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design high-impact social graphics and publish content for Page Six social media accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and more.

  • Create short-form vertical videos, memes, and other engagement-focused posts.

  • Film, edit, and produce video content from live events, interviews, and in-house programming for social distribution, ensuring alignment with platform-specific best practices.

  • Design fun, trendy social templates for galleries and explainers across platforms

  • Pitch and execute timely, niche, newsworthy and trending content ideas.

  • Engage with audiences across Page Six social channels, including moderating comments and facilitating meaningful interactions.

  • Turn around breaking news graphics quickly without sacrificing quality

  • Organize and maintain design files and templates for team use

  • Manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in content creation, including the development of engaging multimedia content across digital platforms.

  • Proficiency in video and photo editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, and Canva, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality editing and creative execution.

  • Strong news judgment, passion for pop culture and internet trends, with excellent writing and copy-editing skills, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all published content.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms, with the ability to quickly adapt strategies to optimize audience engagement.

  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts with large followings, emphasizing audience growth and engagement through thoughtful and timely content.

  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize effectively and perform well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

  • Bring a genuine passion for celebrity news, pop culture, and reality TV, along with a strong understanding of the personalities, trends, and cultural moments that drive daily conversation.

  • Must be flexible around weekend and holiday work.

Note: This role will be on-site five days per week in our California newsroom. The schedule for this role is Mon-Fri, 12pm-8pm PST/3-11pm EST.

Base Pay Range: 75,000 - 85,000

We're committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate's experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.

For bonus-eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
