Job description

The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

Page Six is looking for a seasoned, plugged-in Senior Content Creator and Editor to help lead daily editorial coverage for its reality TV vertical, Virtual Reali-Tea. This role is for someone who not only lives and breathes reality TV, but can shape coverage, elevate storytelling, and guide junior talent, all while moving at the speed of the internet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help set the editorial agenda for Virtual Reali-Tea, identifying the stories, talent and moments that should lead coverage every day
  • Guide the development of video-first storytelling (covering breaking news, exclusives and cultural analysis), ensuring content is optimized for reach, engagement and shareability
  • Edit and elevate content from junior content creators and writers, ensuring our storytelling is sharp, accurate, and aligned with Page Six’s unique voice
  • Identify standout angles from interviews conducted by Danny Murphy and Evan Real, and oversee the packaging of that content across our multiple editorial platforms
  • Maintain a robust editorial calendar (premieres, finales, reunions) and proactively plan coverage
  • Stay ahead of the fan conversation, emerging narratives and viral moments, and translate them into smart, and timely video-first coverage and articles
  • Cover red carpets and premieres in the reality TV space ensuring we get the most news-worthy and entertaining stories to deepen and advance our coverage
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior staff, helping to refine their instincts for story selection, framing, and voice
  • Ensure editorial output meets our high standards for accuracy, speed, SEO, and is optimised for audience engagement across our multiple social and online platforms
Who You Are
  • Deeply immersed in the reality TV universe across networks and streamers, with an instinctive understanding of talent, story arcs, and fan culture
  • An experienced creator, writer and editor with a strong, confident voice with 5+ years of producing high-performing content
  • You have strong editorial instincts and aren’t afraid to make calls on stories, angles and talent
  • A collaborative and decisive manager who can maintain quality under tight deadlines
  • Highly attuned to internet culture, you know what’s breaking, what’s bubbling, and what’s actually worth our time
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Bonus points if you have a network of industry contacts, including publicists, talent, and production sources
Why This Role

This is an opportunity to play a key role in defining the editorial voice and growth of Virtual Reali-Tea, while shaping how one of the most iconic entertainment brands covers the ever-evolving reality TV landscape. You won’t just follow the conversation, you’ll lead it.

Note: The New York Post adheres to an on-site work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 5 days per week.
