Job description

Our client is looking for an Application Security Consultant to help strengthen the security of our global web, mobile, and cloud?native applications. You'll work across engineering, cloud, and business teams to embed security into architecture, development, and production operations.
  • Pay Rate Range - $75-80/HR on W2 ( NO C2C)

Responsibilites:
  • Lead secure design and architecture reviews for web, mobile, and AWS cloud services
  • Administer and optimize SAST/SCA tools (Checkmarx, Snyk), triage findings, and guide remediation
  • Improve application?layer protection technologies and detection logic
  • Support secure release processes and partner with change/release management
  • Represent AppSec in project planning, providing risk?based guidance
  • Track remediation progress and support AppSec program operations

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of offensive/defensive AppSec experience
  • Hands?on SAST/SCA expertise and strong understanding of OWASP Top Ten
  • Ability to read and reason about code (Node.js, JavaScript, Java, Python)
  • Experience securing AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3) and using cloud?native security tools (Orca, Wiz, Prisma Cloud)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and agile development
  • Strong communication skills and experience partnering with engineering teams
