With over 2000 employees, offices on five continents, and world-class clients like Samsung, L'Oreal, and Mattel, Artefact is a consulting firm that transforms data into value and business impact. We've recently launched in the US with offices located in NYC and Los Angeles, and we want you to join us as an integral part of our founding team!

Who We Are

Founded and headquartered in Paris, Artefact is a next-generation consulting firm, specializing in data, analytics & AI consulting, dedicated to transforming data into business impact across the entire value chain of organizations. We are proud to say that we help our clients grow their data and digital capabilities, and that we're also growing in parallel.

We design data-based solutions to meet our clients' specific needs, always conceived with a business-centric approach and delivered with tangible results. Our data-driven services are built upon the deep AI expertise we've acquired with our 1000+ client base around the globe.

Our Opportunity

As a junior data consultant you will help make data-driven decisions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Work with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and use data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns that can inform decision-making and strategy. Our most successful consultants quickly gain additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Some specific responsibilities of a junior data consultant may include:

  • Collecting and organizing data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and web-based tools
  • Cleaning and preparing data for analysis, including correcting errors and formatting data for use in statistical software
  • Analyzing data using statistical techniques and tools, such as Excel, SQL, and R or Python
  • Interpreting and presenting data insights to clients in clear, easy-to-understand language
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and developing data-driven recommendations to meet those needs
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest data analysis techniques and tools.

To be successful in this role, a junior data consultant should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with clients and presenting data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with statistical software and programming languages, such as R or Python, is also helpful for this role.

What we are looking for

We're looking for forward-thinkers and "quick studies" who are poised to make impact, are ready to help our clients in their digital and data journeys, and will help to position Artefact at the forefront of innovation and disruption. As someone who will help build our U.S. office, we need a consultant who's naturally curious, independent, team-oriented, and eager to learn. We'll give you the tools and training to be successful, and you'll come armed with the following:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance
  • 1-2 years of full-time work experience, ideally in one or more of the following areas: consulting, data/analytics, marketing, advertising, finance, or tech.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent Artefact in a client-facing capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse team members; strong intercultural communication skills are a must
  • Advanced familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in digital, data and the tech economy as a whole
  • Strong teaching orientation; demonstrated ability to mentor more junior members of the team
  • Knowledge of strategy consulting and/or digital marketing (within a start-up, agency, etc.) is highly desirable, but not required

Why Join Artefact?

We are united by our values and strengthened by our hybrid expertise.

  • There is always a way: We're from the breed of does, of diggers, of makers. Because ideas are valuable only if executed.
  • Client trust is won on the field: Addressing client needs flows better hands on at their side.
  • If not used, it is useless: Our love for technology translates into a steep desire for adoption, true brilliance is about impact.
  • If not shared, our work is not done: Sharing knowledge is the best way to button up a mission, benefitting clients and colleagues.
  • We learn everyday: Tech is a land where everything move at the speed of light, you better be ready to challenge yourself.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated base compensation for this role is $85,000 - $95,000. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, this role is eligible for competitive benefits.
