Pay Range: $27.50hr - $32.50hr
- The Medicaid Data Analyst will be responsible for conducting data analysis on program-specific and contract monitoring datasets using standard statistical and data exploration techniques.
- The role involves identifying trends, outliers, and ensuring data quality while communicating findings and insights to program staff and leadership.
- The position also supports reporting, policy development, and process improvement initiatives within managed care and Medicaid-related programs.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Strong knowledge of research design, data collection, data manipulation, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting complex datasets using statistical methods.
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in healthcare or program data.
- Strong reporting and data presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and analytical methods.
Experience:
- Experience working with data analysis in healthcare, public health, or government programs preferred.
- Experience with Medicaid, federal, or state health data systems preferred.
- Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
- Experience in reporting and analytics for program monitoring and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis on program-specific projects using standard data exploration techniques including trend analysis and outlier identification.
- Ensure data quality through verification and validation of outlying data points.
- Analyze grievance and appeals data, service authorization data, and dispute datasets.
- Produce quarterly and annual reports and ensure timely dissemination of findings to leadership.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for data management, verification, and maintenance.
- Analyze contract monitoring datasets and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Communicate data analysis methods, logic models, and results to program staff and leadership.
- Support process improvement initiatives and agency-wide strategic objectives.
- Participate in professional development and apply new skills to improve analytical effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, government agencies, and providers.
- Support additional project-related analytical tasks as assigned.
