Show Tech LED 1 | Touring & Live Events Focus

What You'll Be Doing
As a Show Tech LED 1, you will support touring and live event productions by preparing, operating, and maintaining LED systems onsite and in the warehouse.
• Touring & Event Execution - Travel to venues and support live event LED setup, operation, troubleshooting, and strike
• Technical Planning - Review show schedules, contracts, technical drawings, and system requirements prior to events
• System Preparation - Design, network, and prepare multi-processing LED systems for productions
• Warehouse Support - Assist with rack builds, equipment testing, repairs, and LED prep operations
• Venue Coordination - Assess venue staging, power, and setup requirements onsite
• Equipment Verification - Receive, inspect, and verify equipment against manifests and pull lists
• Show Operation - Operate and maintain LED systems during live events while ensuring reliable performance
• Crew Leadership - Direct technicians and freelance labor when assigned
• Documentation - Track show activities, hours, equipment issues, and client communication
• Equipment Handling - Secure, strike, pack, and load LED equipment for transport
• Client Support - Respond to technical challenges and client needs during and after events
What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of experience with LED setup, operation, and strike in touring or live event environments
• Knowledge of Novastar, Brompton, Evision/Colorlite, video routing, and networking
• Understanding of LED systems, pixel maps, line drawings, and technical documentation
• Experience with ROE, Unilumin, InfiLED, Cedar, Yaham, and Sony products preferred
• Knowledge of media servers, screen switchers, and color correction preferred
• Basic rigging knowledge preferred
• Ability to travel regularly and work in high-energy production environments
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, customer service, and safety awareness skills
