Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Prenatal Genetic Counselor to join our team in Louisville, KY!

The Prenatal Genetic Counselor provides genetic counseling to prenatal patients, specifically supporting the Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health Lexington maternal fetal medicine practices. The Prenatal Genetic Counselor participates in the care of women referred for the full scope of preconception and pregnancy-related genetic indications. The genetic counselor provides genetic counseling services both in person and by telehealth. Risk assessment, coordination of genetic testing, and interpretation of genetic test results are integral responsibilities of this position. This position is a member of a supportive team of maternal fetal medicine providers, as well as a genetic counseling team comprised of genetic counselors and genetic counseling assistants. The Prenatal Genetic Counselor is eager, motivated, and passionate about reproductive genetic counseling. The role requires passion for clinical care, excellent communication skills, and collaboration with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in GeneticCounseling or equivalent

  • Two or more years' experience as a clinical genetic counselor

  • ABGC Board certification or Active Candidate Status

  • Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure Genetic Counselor license or eligibility
