Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant / Developer

Enabled Energy

Littleton, CO • On-site

Contractor

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

Summary
Enabled Energy is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant / Developer to join our Technology Services team on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will configure, extend, and continuously improve our Microsoft business platform (Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights - Journeys, Customer Insights - Data, Dataverse, and the Power Platform) alongside internal team members and other consultants.
Enabled Energy has already completed its initial data migration and Dynamics 365 standup. Your focus will be on stabilization, enhancement, and continuous improvement - turning business needs into well-configured, well-documented solutions that follow EE's fit-to-standard approach. You will also help extend the platform with governed agentic experiences using Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, and the Power Platform and Dataverse Skills toolkit.
This role reports to the Director of Technology Services and works closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Finance, and PMO stakeholders. Successful contractors will be considered for conversion to full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Configuration & Enhancement
  • Configure and enhance Dynamics 365 Sales - leads, opportunities, quotes, forecasting, sales sequences, sales accelerator, and sales insights - aligned to EE's Prospect-to-Quote and Quote-to-Order processes.
  • Configure and enhance Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys: real-time journeys, forms, triggers, segments, and multi-channel engagement (email, LinkedIn, events, forms).
  • Configure and enhance Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Data: unified profiles, segments, measures, and enrichment logic.
  • Gather and document requirements, prepare fit-gap analyses, and translate business needs into configuration, business rules, and low-code extensions rather than custom code where possible.
  • Build and refine Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate flows, business rules, and custom pages to close functional gaps.
  • Support LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration and third-party data enrichment (e.g., ZoomInfo, Cognism, Apollo, D&B) - including field mapping, deduplication, enrichment triggers, and data quality controls.

Data, Integration & Third-Party Enrichment
  • Own the health of Dataverse data models day-to-day: tables, columns, relationships, security roles, and business units.
  • Design and maintain integrations between Dynamics 365 and third-party enrichment sources such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar providers - using native connectors, Power Automate, custom connectors, or Graph/REST APIs.
  • Support ongoing data quality and hygiene: duplicate detection, merge rules, enrichment cadence, and audit logging. (Note: initial migration from Monday.com is already complete; the focus of this role is steady-state data quality, not migration.)

Agentic Development & Automation
  • Build governed Copilot Studio agents and AI Skills that operate against Dataverse and Dynamics 365 data to support sales, marketing, and delivery workflows.
  • Use GitHub Copilot, Power Platform Skills, and Dataverse Skills inside VS Code to accelerate configuration, testing, and documentation.
  • Build Power Automate flows and MCP-enabled workflows for automation across Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, and other EE systems.

ALM, Governance & Documentation
  • Follow EE's ALM standards: solution structure, environment variables, connection references, source-controlled development, and pipeline-based deployment (DEV → TEST → PROD).
  • Use Azure DevOps for work items, backlog, and pull requests; keep changes traceable to business requirements and UAT evidence.
  • Produce clean, business-friendly documentation: solution designs, configuration workbooks, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer artifacts.
  • Support UAT, user enablement, and post-release hypercare for enhancements.

Business Partnership
  • Translate requirements from Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Finance, and PMO into fit-to-standard Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Partner with Business Developers, Project Developers, and Delivery Managers to make sure Dynamics 365 supports opportunity execution, pipeline visibility, and client-facing experiences.
  • Provide subject-matter input to the Director of Technology Services on roadmap, prioritization, licensing, and technology decisions.

Qualifications
Minimum
  • 5-8 years of hands-on functional consulting and configuration/development experience across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, or Customer Insights) and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong Dataverse skills: data modeling, security roles, business rules, and solution/ALM management.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring Dynamics 365 Sales (leads, opportunities, quotes, forecasting, sales insights, sales accelerator).
  • Working knowledge of Customer Insights - Journeys and/or Customer Insights - Data.
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration and at least one third-party data enrichment provider (e.g., ZoomInfo, Cognism, Apollo, D&B, LeadIQ).
  • Proficiency with Power Automate, model-driven and canvas apps, and custom connectors.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub for work-item management and source-controlled ALM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort working directly with business stakeholders.

Preferred (Plus, Not Required)
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Field Service, and/or Finance - including integration touchpoints with CE.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot CLI, Power Platform Skills, Dataverse Skills, or MCP-enabled workflows.
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, MB-210, or MB-220.
  • Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
  • Exposure to data center, energy services, engineering, or construction industries.
  • Experience implementing solutions aligned with Microsoft Success by Design.

Additional Qualifications
  • Execution-oriented - takes tickets, requirements, or wireframes and turns them into working, well-documented solutions.
  • Collaborates seamlessly with sales, marketing, delivery, finance, and operations teams to advance shared outcomes.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, a bias for action, and a commitment to continuous learning - especially around AI-assisted development.
  • Values clear governance, traceability, and audit-readiness in all technology decisions.
  • Comfortable operating as a contractor inside a fast-moving internal team, and open to conversion to full-time based on fit and mutual interest.
