Title: Senior Power BI Developer

Location: Cragwood / South Plainfield, NJ (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite)

Durations 2 + months

Note: Must be on our W2

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience using Power BI
  • Experienced/Expert at data visualization and advance calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) using Power BI
  • Expert knowledge connecting Microsoft Power BI to various data sources.
  • Expert creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc.
  • Experience in Custom Visuals and Groups usage.
  • Experienced in creating DAX expressions.
  • Exposure to setting up and configuring Power BI related Gateways and related data connections.
  • SQL and database query skills are required as the applications leverage local and shared databases and data warehouses
  • Knowledge on SQL Server 2012 or advanced versions.
  • Excellent customer relations skills and strong communication skills to make clear, accurate and concise oral and written reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and to provide excellent customer service, as well as work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information to various levels in the organization.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather reporting and dashboard visualization requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and expectations.
  • Creating interactive dashboards that present key insights to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to enhance data quality and resolve data integration issues.
  • Build effective and visually pleasing dashboards/ reports to represent the story to answer those business questions with the help of data.
  • Apply best practices through the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design meaningful visualizations, and drive informed decisions.
  • Create and develop Power BI visuals and data models as required.
  • Develop logical data models for the databases.
  • Train end-users on effectively utilizing Power BI tools to meet their specific needs, fostering a data-driven culture.
