We're partnering with a school district in Fairfield County, Connecticut to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Follows district school schedule
• Grade Levels: Middle school caseload
• Location: On-Site, Fairfield County, CT
• School Year: 2026/2027

Responsibilities:

• Lead a specialized classroom program tailored to a defined disability area or student need.
• Deliver instruction using approaches aligned to the student population served (e.g., structured intervention-based teaching methods).
• Implement learning supports that address sensory and access needs within the classroom setting.
• Integrate appropriate adaptive tools and classroom accommodations to support student participation.
• Provide highly individualized instruction for students who require intensive, specialized programming.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting students with specific disabilities who need highly specialized instruction.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to match the needs of a defined student population.
• Familiarity with structured instructional strategies used in specialized programs (as referenced in the job information).
• Ability to implement classroom supports that address sensory and learning needs.
• Working knowledge of using adaptive or assistive tools to support student access and engagement.
