Job Summary:
Mainspring Energy is revolutionizing power generation with its innovative technology, the Mainspring Linear Generator. They are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operational reliability while engaging with employees and leadership.
Responsibilities:
โข Graciously provide the highest level of customer service, helping team members resolve low-level technical issues while communicating clearly and professionally
โข Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, SaaS, identity, and endpoint-related issues across operating systems.
โข Configure, deploy, refurbish and track laptops, peripherals, and collaboration tools while maintaining accurate asset lifecycle records
โข Support user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, access management, and security controls
โข Lead or co-lead the IT portion of New Hire Orientation, clearly presenting IT policies, security expectations, and available tools in an engaging and approachable manner
โข Support and operate A/V systems for company-wide meetings and executive-facing events, ensuring microphones, conferencing platforms, and livestream systems function reliably under real-time conditions
โข Remain calm and solution-oriented in high-visibility situations, particularly during live All Hands meetings or executive presentations
โข Contribute to documentation, knowledge base articles, and process improvements that enhance scalability and user experience
โข Stay current with emerging technologies, security best practices, and internal systems to continuously improve IT operations
Qualifications:
Required:
โข At least 1 year of hands-on IT support experience (or equivalent technical experience through internships, personal projects, or home lab environments)
โข Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and cloud-based applications is desirable
โข Experience supporting Windows environments; familiarity with macOS is a plus
โข Working knowledge of SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, or similar collaboration tools
โข Foundational understanding of identity and access management concepts (MFA, SSO, permissions)
โข Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present in front of groups
โข The ability to interface professionally with executives and cross-functional teams
โข The composure to manage live technical issues without becoming overly stressed
