VMware, Dell/HP Servers, Windows Server 2008-2012 R2, NetApp Storage, Linux (preferably SUSE), Office 365, Exchange 2010-2016, Active Directory, Cisco Networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco VoIP, Microsoft Systems Center, Commvault, PowerShell.

Skills and Abilities:

Deploy new servers as needed, manage older server replacement/migration and retirement lifecycle.

Attend planning meetings and assess technology needs and suggest solutions based on industry best practices and business needs.

Manage virtual server environment, upgrading VMware as necessary, planning ahead for capacity and performance needs.

Must be comfortable learning new technologies and coming up to speed quickly.

Must work well with others on the team, sharing knowledge and supporting a collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are necessary.

Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for administration tasks.

Build, maintain, and manage IT infrastructure using Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 R2 operating systems on Dell and HP hardware platforms. Linux experience is a plus.

Must be self-directed, recommending new projects to keep system infrastructure current with industry trends and staying ahead of aging or retiring technologies.

Extensive hand-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and the Windows operating systems, utilities, tools and applications and PowerShell.

Experience with Microsoft Systems Center is a plus.

Experience with Office 365/Exchange online is desired.

Experience with VMware ESX server, virtualization, load-balancing, high availability in a production environment.

Knowledge of system security best practices and experience working to implement those in a production environment including patching and hardening of systems.

Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches and VoIP systems.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required

Industry certifications are a plus: CCNA, CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, Security+, MCSA/MCSE, etc.
