Position Summary

As Senior Manager, Global Brand Voice & Creative, you will be The IIA's authority on how the organization presents itself to the world. You will own brand strategy, communications, editorial voice, and creative direction.

You will shape positioning informed by stakeholder and market insight, set the standards for how The IIA sounds and looks across every channel, and lead the work that brings it all to life. You will have the executive access and organizational authority to build a brand worthy of the profession it leads.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Lake Mary, Florida, combining in-office collaboration with remote work.

What You'll DoBrand Strategy & Positioning
  • Lead The IIA's brand strategy and translate market trends, stakeholder and member insight, and competitive intelligence into clear positioning, narrative, and creative direction.
  • Engage with executive leadership, external stakeholders, and members to surface brand perceptions, identify opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Synthesize findings into clear recommendations and executive-ready deliverables.
  • Define and track The IIA's brand health by establishing measurement frameworks, KPIs, and baseline metrics that connect brand investment to business outcomes.
Brand Identity & Visual Standards
  • Define and steward The IIA's visual identity, including design systems, typography, color, logo usage, and brand guidelines, and ensure consistency across all global touchpoints.
  • Evolve the brand to reflect The IIA's ambition and modern positioning, grounded in research rather than assumption.
  • Establish and maintain a central digital asset management system and brand standards documentation accessible to internal teams and external partners.
  • Review and approve creative output across the organization to ensure quality and brand alignment.
Communications & Editorial
  • Develop and own The IIA's voice across web, email, social, and member communications.
  • Elevate The IIA's communications and content to match the global importance of the profession it represents.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Build scalable content frameworks and templates that enable teams to produce on-brand content efficiently and independently.
Team Leadership & Operations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team, setting a high standard for strategic thinking and output quality while building a feedback-driven, growth-oriented culture.
  • Manage external agency and freelance relationships.
  • Establish efficient team operations, including briefing processes, review cycles, asset management, and version control.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to align brand and creative priorities with organizational strategy.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience across brand strategy, communications, and creative direction.
  • Proven ability to translate complex research and stakeholder insight into clear brand strategy, compelling narrative, and actionable creative direction.
  • Experience presenting brand strategy and creative recommendations to senior leadership or executive committees.
  • Proficiency in design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and marketing technology platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience welcomed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with membership organizations, associations, credentialing bodies, professional services, or mission-driven global brands is a strong plus.
