Job description

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Full stack: backend, frontend and DevOps, with LLMs at the centre of how we build.

Team: Engineering
Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Montreal, QC
Level: Senior
Reports to: Head of Technology

Apollo builds the electric scooters people actually ride every day, and the software that runs them: a rider mobile app, a connected vehicle platform, an e-commerce storefront and the internal tools that keep it all moving. We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who can own that surface end to end, set the technical direction, and build with large language models rather than around them.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the full stack. Ship features from database schema to production deployment without a handoff at every layer.
- Set the architecture. Make the calls on structure, data modelling and integrations, and document why.
- Run the infrastructure. Linux servers, deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, backups and incident response.
- Build our LLM tooling. Design, deploy and maintain the LLM agents that automate development, support and internal operations.
- Raise the bar. Code review, standards and mentoring for the rest of the team.
- Talk to the business. Turn what sales, support and operations need into software that works.

REQUIREMENTS (must have)
- Full stack across the board: backend, frontend and DevOps, with real ownership of production systems.
- React with TypeScript at a senior level: state management, performance, component architecture.
- SQL and hands-on ORM experience: schema design, migrations, query tuning.
- Linux and Bash: comfortable on a server, in a shell, writing your own scripts.
- PHP in production, on a modern framework.
- CMS experience: templating, content modelling, integrating a CMS with a custom application.
- Development with LLMs and the setup of LLM agents: you already build this way daily and can stand up agent workflows for a team.
- Shopify in production: Liquid themes, Admin and Storefront APIs, custom apps.

NICE TO HAVE
- Laravel (Eloquent, queues, jobs, Horizon).
- Shopify: Liquid themes, Admin and Storefront APIs, custom apps.
- React Native for iOS and Android.
- UI/UX: an eye for interface design, comfortable in Figma.
- Connected hardware or IoT: BLE, OTA firmware, telemetry.
- E-commerce and payments at scale.
- Working in French and English.

WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary, reviewed annually.
- Group insurance and paid time off.
- Real technical autonomy: you set the direction.
- A scooter, and a team that rides them.

OUR STACK
React · TypeScript · PHP / Laravel · LLM agents · React Native · MySQL · Eloquent ORM · Linux / Bash · Shopify · Liquid · REST APIs · Git · CI / CD · BLE / IoT

HOW TO APPLY
Send your CV and anything you are proud of having built: a repo, a product, an agent setup. Tell us in a few lines how you use LLMs in your daily work. We reply to every application.
