Job description

The Prime Video Personalization & Discovery team is seeking a talented Senior Manager of Product Management Tech with required prior experience in Personalization, Recommendations and intelligent content discovery experience to help deliver superior experiences to Prime Video customers worldwide.
You will own a substantial portion of the product strategy and vision of the product experience customers have with Personalization, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work with engineering, science, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to optimize the Prime Video Personalization & Discovery customer experience.
Prior experience with BUILDING PERSONALIZED RECOMMENDATIONS EXPERIENCES is ESSENTIAL, ideally in streaming media or related domains.
The ideal candidate should have thrived and succeeded in hiring and developing teams of 10-15 people and delivering broadly adopted technology products or services in a high growth environment in a Streaming Media or related field. You should be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. You should have keen business sense and also have developed a deep understanding of technology. Qualified candidates have experience defining products, mapping requirements to engineering functional specifications, leading large cross functional and cross organizational efforts, and successfully delivering complex products and services at high scale.

The Prime Video Personalization and Discovery team builds products to acquire, activate, engage and retain customers on Prime Video through content discovery on and off our apps.
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of team management experience
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Minimum 2 years leading teams of 10-15 people including building the team
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Media Tech space including Streaming Personalization, Marketing Tech, Ad Tech
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
- MBA
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
