Job description

Every piece of artwork a customer sees on Prime Video is a decision point. Our team owns the AI agents and ML models that ingest, localize, and personalize artwork for hundreds of millions of customers across 240+ countries, directly shaping what they choose to watch next.
You will own systems that ingest artwork at scale, personalize what each customer sees based on their taste and context, automate quality assessment, and localize visuals so every experience feels native. You will work on real-time personalization under strict latency constraints, and autonomous agents that maintain a high quality bar across every locale. This is Day 1 for AI-driven content discovery, and artwork is where customer choice begins.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, build, and own systems that ingest, process, and serve artwork at scale to hundreds of millions of customers across 240+ countries
- Build AI agents that automate artwork quality assessment, defect detection, localization, and compliance across thousands of content partners
- Develop and train ML models for artwork personalization that vend the right image to the right customer based on taste, context, and viewing history
- Own the full lifecycle of services you build, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence
- Design and operate low-latency serving infrastructure that delivers personalized artwork decisions in milliseconds under strict availability constraints
- Run A/B experiments to measure the impact of personalization on customer engagement and content discovery
- Solve complex, ambiguous problems across distributed systems, computer vision, and real-time personalization with minimal guidance
- Improve engineering practices across the team including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, deployment patterns, and on-call processes
- Mentor engineers on system design, code quality, and ML best practices
- Collaborate with scientists, product managers, and partner teams to translate business problems into well-scoped technical solutions and influence the technical roadmap
A day in the life
You will independently own and deliver features across backend services, ML training pipelines, and AI agents that power artwork ingestion, personalization, and localization. You will take ambiguous problems, break them down, and drive them to production with minimal guidance. Day to day, you will write and review code, design and evolve system architectures with senior engineers, debug production issues during on-call rotations, and drive operational improvements at worldwide scale. You will collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, and content partner teams, and mentor teammates through code reviews and design discussions.
About the team
We are the Artwork team within Prime Video. We own the systems that decide what every customer sees before they press play. Our mission is to make content discovery effortless by building infrastructure, AI agents, and ML models that ingest artwork from global content partners, enforce quality, localize across cultures, and personalize images for each customer's taste. We operate with high ownership and low bureaucracy. Engineers own systems end-to-end and are trusted to make decisions autonomously. We debate openly, experiment rigorously, and ship fast. This is a Day 1 team solving greenfield problems at worldwide scale.
