Job Description: Program Delivery Lead (Local Berkeley Contractor)

Location: Berkeley, CA (In-Person)

Work Pattern: On-Call / Seasonal (Aligned with live program schedules)

The Role

We are seeking an elite Program Delivery Lead to support our Berkeley Executive Education programs during high-peak seasons. This role is specifically designed for a seasoned professional who can step into a live program and provide high-level execution and "white glove" service.

This is not a behind-the-scenes planning role; you are the on-site lead responsible for the classroom environment, faculty readiness, and the overall participant experience. We are looking for a local Berkeley/Bay Area career contractor with a high level of discernment who can navigate the complexities of a world-class academic institution and interface seamlessly with Haas Faculty and global executives.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

• Classroom Management & Troubleshooting: Take full ownership of the physical and digital classroom environment. You must be able to think on your feet, proactively identifying and resolving logistical or environmental issues before they impact the program.
• Faculty & Speaker Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for Haas Faculty and guest speakers. You will prep them for their sessions, ensuring they are properly mic’d, their slides are loaded/tested, and they feel fully supported to deliver their best work.
• Reception & Participant Hospitality: Manage the program reception experience, serving as the first point of contact for arriving executives. This includes managing check-in, directional support, and ensuring a premium, welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
• On-Campus Support & Logistics: Act as the "boots on the ground" for all campus-based needs including campus events. This includes coordinating with catering, managing room transitions, overseeing transportation for site visits, and being the go-to resource for participant inquiries.
• Discernment & White Glove Service: Provide a premier concierge experience for high-profile participants. This requires the ability to anticipate needs, handle sensitive requests with diplomacy, and maintain a sophisticated professional presence.
• Live Stakeholder Navigation: Act as the central liaison between Faculty, Corporate Clients, and internal staff. You must have the professional maturity to navigate complex academic hierarchies and high-pressure situations with "grace under pressure."

The "Ideal Partner" Profile

• Local & In-Person: You are based in the Berkeley/Bay Area and are committed to being on-site and in-person. You are not looking for hybrid work; you prefer the energy of live, face-to-face program delivery.
• Program-Schedule Driven: You understand that "program mode" means working the schedule of the event. You are comfortable with 50-hour weeks during peak delivery, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends.
• High Level of Discernment: You have a refined "consultant’s mindset." You know how to communicate with world-class faculty and C-suite executives, understanding the nuances of professional etiquette in an elite academic setting.
• Plug-and-Play Professional: You require minimal supervision. Once briefed on a program, you can take command of the room and the delivery with total confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in executive education delivery, high-end event management, or premium hospitality/concierge services.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with basic classroom technology, including AV (microphones, projectors, slide clickers), Zoom for classroom streaming, and Learning Management Systems (Canvas).
• Tools: Experience with Salesforce, Asana, and G-Suite preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence, refined communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to be on-site at the Berkeley campus and remain active/mobile for the duration of the program day.

Contract & Schedule

• Nature of Work: This is a seasonal, project-based contract role for a career contractor.
• Peak Seasons: Fall semester (September - November), Spring Semester (March - June)
• Expectation: You are expected to be fully available and present for the duration of assigned programs, working the necessary hours to ensure a successful delivery.

Pay and timing:

$45/hour, up to 40 hours per week up to $7,800 per month from September – November 2026 with potential for continued project-based contracts.
