- Design of data movement into an throughout an enterprise; including the operational data store, atomic data warehouse, dimensional data warehouse and master data management 


- Development of enterprise design view and application to project level 


- Mentoring of designers for detailed design 


- Develop and maintain standards, procedures, guidelines and best practices 


- Act as an internal consultant, mentoring junior designers 


- Review all project level data movement designs for adherence to standards and best practices 


- Suggest changes to project level designs 


- Develop new data movement design patterns where required 


- Guide the coding and testing of standard data movement re-useable components 




Required Skills & Experience: 


- Extensive Java & JEE skills; along with Spring & Hibernate, JavaScript, shell scripting, and JMS 


- Experience with Web Services (Restful / SOAP), multi-threading, and, message protocols (MQ, TCP) 


- Strong ETL & data movement/integration experience 


- Strong hands on skills in DB2, SQL, DB2 Physical Database Design, DataStage, Unix, CDC tools and approaches 


- Previous Hadoop/Big Data experience 


- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLC delivery processes 


- Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development 


- Strong understanding of XML and SQL 


- Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets 


- Expertise with data movement approaches and techniques and when to apply them 


- Good understanding of different changed data capture approached and techniques and when to use which 


- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner 


- Strong understand of complex business processes and their relationships
