JOB SUMMARY
Performs a broad range of accounting functions to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records. Ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and supports the timely preparation of financial reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of accounting practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting or business or related field, or equivalent experience; and
  • A minimum of three years' experience in financial management, general accounting, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), standard accounting procedures, Company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis, exercise sound judgment, and resolve complex accounting and financial issues.
  • Experience working with ERP and accounting systems required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel, and experience with Dexter + Chaney Spectrum preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Public accounting and/or publicly traded company experience strongly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Construction industry accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum, Dexter + Chaney Spectrum, or other construction accounting and project management software preferred.
  • Experience with job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting methodologies preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and record journal entries; maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules; and ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, perform account analyses, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses.
  • Assist with SEC reporting requirements, including the preparation of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other public company filings, as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal control standards; maintain supporting documentation and accounting procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, analyses, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, accounting system enhancements, process improvements, special projects, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000 annually.
