During a freelance interior design internship, you may work on a variety of projects ranging from residential room layouts to commercial space planning. Typical responsibilities include assisting with concept development, sourcing materials and furnishings, creating digital mood boards, and preparing presentations for clients. Interns often collaborate with experienced designers, vendors, and sometimes clients, gaining exposure to real-world design challenges and workflows. The freelance aspect offers flexibility and the chance to develop a diverse portfolio, but it also requires good time management and self-motivation.
