About the job

The Senior Specialist, Social Media drives the digital heartbeat of the Blue Bottle brand in Seoul, leading the "concept to execution" of our social media strategy across all major platforms (Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, etc.). Using a deep understanding of our brand, guest behaviors, data insights, and digital culture, this role will partner closely with marketing, creative, and product teams to craft compelling narratives. You will act as the primary voice of our brand online, orchestrating everything from daily community engagement to high-impact influencer campaigns. We are looking for a passionate digital storyteller and strategic thinker who is equally driven by delighting customers, elevating our brand visibility, and achieving commercial goals through innovative social engagement.

This position is based in Seoul and reports to the Brand Director, Korea.

You will
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, full-funnel social media strategy across all relevant platforms (Instagram, Kakao, X, YouTube, TikTok) that maps to Blue Bottle Coffee's strategic brand vision and business goals

  • Build and lead our KOL (Key Opinion Leader), Content Creator, and Influencer programs, identifying the right partners, negotiating terms, and managing relationships to amplify our brand reach authentically

  • Take ownership and lead the end-to-end content production process, propose strategic decisions on execution-whether utilizing agencies, directing freelancers, or shooting and creating the content yourself.

  • Manage and collaborate with external digital agencies, freelance creators, and internal creative teams to build, maintain, and execute a robust, always-on content publishing calendar

  • Track, report on, and analyze social media performance and campaign metrics while conducting continuous competitive analysis and social listening to ensure our platforms remain relevant

  • Act as a cross-functional leader, partnering with product, retail, and e-commerce teams to ensure evergreen and seasonal product launches are fully supported by impactful social media campaigns

You have
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of related experience in social media management, digital marketing, PR, or influencer marketing with a proven track record of growing channels (IG, Kakao, X, YouTube, TikTok)

  • A strong portfolio and proven experience in producing, leading, and creating compelling content, demonstrating a deep understanding of content and creativity.

  • The ability to work independently and lead content production, actively deciding whether to leverage agencies, utilize freelancers, or shoot and produce content yourself.

  • Excellent communication skills in Korean and English

  • Extensive experience briefing and managing external partners, including creative agencies, digital agencies, and freelance content creators

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate native platform data and social listening metrics into clear, actionable business recommendations

  • Passion for coffee, people, culture, and sincere hospitality
