JOB SUMMARY:

As an Integration Software Engineer, you will have a unique impact on critical business systems that U.S. Multimodal Group’s depends on to move our company forward and grow with in our industry. This position provides growth opportunities to utilize your skill set to integrate data into key systems as well as implementation through setup and configuration.

This job is on-site full-time in Franklin, TN. There is no relocation assistance for this opportunity.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify, and a background check is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, develops, and maintains scalable API integration code.
  • Implements and enforces API security protocols including authentication, authorization and data encryption.
  • Collaborates with key team members and contributes to translating business requirements into technical documentation.
  • Implements and integrates AI tools and frameworks within API services.
  • Understands and creates comprehensive API documentation, including endpoints, data models, and usage guidelines.
  • Utilizes technical aptitude to configure and re-configure business systems.
  • Debugs and resolves technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provides second level technical support for system issues and concerns, including collaboration with end users, technology teams, and vendors to resolve incidents and fulfill requests.
  • Supports current IT Standards.
  • Continues professional development and education to remain informed of current industry development and technologies.
  • Supports and enforces company information policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible for the prompt resolution of all issues brought to the attention of the department and notifies senior leadership of non-routine problems and issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience is a similar role building system integrations.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying APIs in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of API architectural styles and web services, knowledge of AI and building AI models a plus.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly through written and verbal form.
  • Desire and drive to be “the person” to drive excellence from start to finish.
  • Problem-solving and multitasking skills with a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Transportation Management Systems, ERP, HRIS and other central business applications.
  • Industry knowledge of Intermodal, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing.
