Job description

INNOVIM is seeking a Technical Manual Writer to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Shift: Day Shiftย 

The candidate will:

  • Prepare, coordinate, and consolidate artifacts IAW DoD/DID standards and/or corporate templates and requirements for review
  • Participates in planning and creation of artifacts (both internal and CDRL based; templates and content)
  • Coordinate and participate in review, publication, and delivery of artifacts
  • Attend and participate in periodic large scale agile and waterfall planning events
  • Determine, maintain, and revise priorities to meet contract objectives.
  • Research, compile, prepare, and distribute a wide range of information as needed for document development.
  • Ensure documentation is consistent with precedents and defensible with the law and regulations.
  • Recommend revisions to and/or new work instructions and implement appropriate administrative procedures which will provide maximum efficiency.
  • Attend and participate in periodic large scale Agile planning events.
  • Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.

    Basic Requirements:

    • Clearance Requirements: Secret
    • Educational Requirements: 3+ years Higher Education
    • 4 years or more of general work history
    • 4 years or more of directly related experience
    • Experience in production and delivery of documents and artifacts IAW DoD/DID standards and/or corporate templates and requirements.
    • Proficiency with various Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, and FrameMaker
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Adept at coordination and integration of content from various Stakeholders.
    • Strong ownership of assigned documents and artifacts from beginning to end.

    Desired Requirements:

    • Experience working on NISSC II Products/Applications

    This position is expected to pay $70,000-$80,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
