The Freelance Associate Director, Engagement Strategy, as part of our The Experience Collective (ECx), partners with our healthcare clients to design modern, unified experiences for HCPs and consumers, predominantly in digital.
Our The Experience Collective (ECx) is an established team of digital-first experts who sit at the intersection of strategy, creative, and technology to deliver audience-centric experiences through the right channels, tactics, and partners. Our Engagement Strategists are anchored by tech trends, audience digital habits, digital platform knowledge & best practices, creative technology, CX, and purposeful innovation.
In addition to a background in digital strategy (or a related role), our Freelance Associate Director, Engagement Strategist will need to have a keen interest in emerging technologies. Together with other members of The Experience Collective (ECx), they'll help us chart the future of healthcare marketing and get other teams and our clients excited about it!
The Freelance Associate Director, Engagement Strategy position reports into the VP, Director of Engagement Strategy.
What You'll Do
  • Digital/Engagement strategy: Lead the development of channel strategies and tactical plans that meet our clients' business goals, in partnership with brand strategy and creative teams
  • Omnichannel planning: Lead the development of omnichannel strategies that integrate customer journey mapping, personalization, and data analytics to deliver a seamless and engaging customer experience across all touchpoints
  • Client counsel and leadership: Work alongside senior account, creative, and brand strategy teams to steer the direction of our work from an Engagement perspective - and provide ongoing guidance and insight to clients about the best courses of action
  • Tactical ideation: Tease out the real why behind our clients challenges and guide the team in ideating initiatives that break through barriers and deliver on the key brands priorities in impactful and novel ways.
  • Innovation: Engage with emerging technologies and channels (AI, voice/audio tech, etc.) and identify opportunities for us to introduce new processes, partners, and tactics into our work, leveraging your strategic prowess to navigate it all
  • Thought leadership: Provide guidance on digital marketing trends, best practices, inspiration and proactive POVs on emerging channels or technologies to our clients and our agency.
  • Media integration: Bring working knowledge of media in the healthcare space to provide high level thoughts in plans and opportunities our media partners share

What You'll Bring
  • Advanced-level thinking as a digital strategist with 6+ years of experience
  • Pharmaceutical and healthcare experience across HCP and patient
  • A solid, varied foundation in digital with fluency across CRM, web, mobile, OLA, and SEO/SEM
  • Proven ability to guide connected and personalized omnichannel marketing strategies (eg creating omnichannel experience maps, digital ecosystems, and journeys)
  • Experience creating dynamic and compelling presentations that deliver digital strategy and new thinking into a clear story, across the agency as well as with clients
  • The ability to turn data points into insights that lead to actionable recommendations
  • Fluency in digital and social analytics capabilities so that you can partner with our analytics team to set and evaluate KPIs
  • Fascination with the everchanging digital space - you don't mind getting your hands dirty to experiment with new apps and technologies
  • An entrepreneurial spirt looking to continually grow and push things to new places
  • The ability to explain things others may not always fully understand in a way that gets them excited about a channel, tactic, or innovation opportunity

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
