Position Summary

The IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Administrator is responsible for the administrative support, maintenance, and ongoing development of the organization's IBM Planning Analytics platform. This role ensures platform stability, performance, and security while partnering with Finance and IT stakeholders on the design and future development of multidimensional cubes that support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration & Support

  • Administer and maintain IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) environments, including system configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.

  • Provide production support for planning models, resolving issues related to data loads, cube calculations, user access, and reporting.

  • Monitor scheduled processes and planning cycles to ensure availability during critical business periods.

Cube Modeling & Development

  • Design, build, and maintain multidimensional TM1 cubes, including dimensions, hierarchies, rules, and feeders.

  • Develop and enhance TurboIntegrator (TI) processes and chores for data integration and automation.

  • Optimize cube performance and scalability to support evolving business requirements.

Security, Governance & Change Management

  • Manage rolebased security, user access, and object permissions within Planning Analytics.

  • Support audits, controls, and documentation standards related to financial systems.

  • Promote changes through development, test, and production environments in alignment with change management practices.

Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and Accounting teams to translate planning and reporting requirements into scalable solutions.

  • Contribute to the roadmap for future Planning Analytics enhancements and system modernization.

  • Maintain clear documentation and provide knowledge transfer and user support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field

  • 3+ years of handson experience with IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 or equivalent.

  • Strong experience with multidimensional cube modeling, including rules, feeders, and TI processes.

  • Working knowledge of SAP data integrations and relational data sources.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience where role is supporting Finance/Accounting (preferably in manufacturing)

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum 18hrs Accounting credits).

  • Exposure to enterprise planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting).

  • Experience in cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., Azure).

  • Experience with Power Bi and other Power applications

  • Familiarity with ITIL, SOX, or formal change management processes.
