We work closely with clinicians, hospital leadership, registry personnel, information technology departments, EHR analysts, interface teams, and other healthcare stakeholders to implement, support, and continuously improve our applications.
*Position Overview*
RESPOND Clinical is seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Technology Customer Success Manager to lead healthcare software implementations and manage ongoing relationships with hospital customers.
This is a senior, customer-facing healthcare technology role. The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison between hospital customers and RESPOND Clinical’s internal clinical, training, development, quality assurance, support, and technical teams.
Responsibilities extend beyond implementation and go-live. This person will coordinate customer training, organize and prioritize customer requests, facilitate answers to clinical and technical questions, support user adoption, manage escalations, and ensure customer needs are followed through to resolution.
The ideal candidate can step into complex, high-pressure projects, quickly determine priorities, assign clear responsibilities, and keep both customer and internal teams moving forward. This individual must be comfortable managing aggressive timelines, addressing missed commitments, leading difficult conversations, and maintaining customer confidence during challenging situations.
Experience with trauma programs, trauma registries, or SANE programs is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead healthcare software implementations from planning through go-live and stabilization.
* Maintain ongoing ownership of assigned customer relationships after implementation.
* Serve as a primary liaison between hospital customers and RESPOND Clinical’s internal teams.
* Build trusted relationships with clinical leaders, registry personnel, hospital IT teams, operational stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
* Coordinate customer onboarding, application training, follow-up education, and adoption activities.
* Work with internal clinical and training teams to answer customer questions and develop appropriate educational resources.
* Ensure customer questions are directed to the appropriate clinical, technical, training, development, or operational team.
* Gather, document, clarify, and prioritize customer questions, issues, enhancement requests, and workflow needs.
* Communicate customer needs to clinical, development, quality assurance, training, support, and leadership teams.
* Keep customers informed about request status, outstanding questions, decisions, timelines, and next steps.
* Coordinate activities across hospital clinicians, registry personnel, IT departments, EHR analysts, interface teams, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
* Prioritize competing customer and internal needs based on urgency, customer impact, project risk, and available resources.
* Break project goals into clear tasks with identified owners, deadlines, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
* Follow up consistently on outstanding assignments and drive work through completion.
* Professionally hold internal and customer stakeholders accountable for agreed-upon responsibilities and deadlines.
* Lead implementation meetings, customer status calls, training discussions, escalation meetings, and go-live readiness reviews.
* Maintain project plans, action-item lists, decision logs, risk tracking, and customer status updates.
* Identify delays, unresolved dependencies, unclear ownership, and customer risks before they affect timelines or relationships.
* Develop practical recovery plans when projects fall behind or encounter unexpected obstacles.
* Translate clinical and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical and development teams.
* Coordinate activities involving EHR systems, HL7 and FHIR interfaces, infrastructure, security, data migration, testing, training, and production readiness.
* Manage escalated customer concerns calmly, directly, and professionally.
* Support customers in achieving continued value from RESPOND Clinical’s applications.
*Required Qualifications*
* Seven or more years of experience in healthcare technology, clinical applications, healthcare software implementation, customer success, hospital IT, or a closely related field.
* Significant experience working directly with hospitals or health systems.
* Demonstrated experience managing healthcare software or clinical application projects.
* Experience coordinating clinicians, application analysts, EHR teams, interface teams, hospital IT departments, and software development resources.
* Experience managing customer relationships beyond initial software implementation.
* Strong ability to organize and prioritize customer questions, issues, projects, and enhancement requests.
* Experience assigning tasks, identifying owners, tracking deadlines, following up, and driving work through completion.
* Ability to professionally hold both internal and customer stakeholders accountable.
* Experience coordinating clinical application training, customer education, or user adoption.
* Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into clear requirements for technical teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, organizational, and customer relationship skills.
* Experience managing escalations and difficult stakeholder conversations.
* Ability to remain calm, credible, and effective while managing high-pressure projects and accelerated timelines.
* Ability to work independently and quickly establish structure within complex projects.
* Strong judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions when complete information is not immediately available.
* Willingness to travel occasionally, generally one to two times per quarter.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health informatics, healthcare administration, information systems, information technology, or a related field.
* Master’s degree in health informatics, healthcare administration, business administration, information technology, nursing, or a related discipline.
* Active or previous clinical credentials, such as RN, combined with meaningful healthcare technology or clinical application experience.
* Experience with trauma centers, trauma programs, trauma registries, or trauma performance improvement.
* Experience with SANE or sexual assault forensic examination programs.
* Familiarity with NTDB, TQIP, state trauma reporting, or other clinical registry workflows.
* Experience implementing trauma registry, clinical documentation, quality improvement, patient review, or similar hospital applications.
* Familiarity with Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, or another major EHR platform.
* Working knowledge of HL7, FHIR, healthcare interfaces, data migration, application testing, or hospital IT infrastructure.
* Experience coordinating application testing, training, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization.
* Experience working for a healthcare technology vendor or consulting organization.
* PMP certification or comparable project-management training.
Equivalent combinations of education and substantial directly relevant healthcare technology experience will be considered. A nursing degree, clinical license, or master’s degree is preferred but is not required when the candidate has significant clinical application and hospital customer leadership experience.

*Initial Contract and Full-Time Opportunity*
This position will begin as a contract engagement anticipated to last up to 90 days. Compensation will range from $50–$75 per hour, depending on qualifications and directly relevant experience.
Candidates with significant healthcare software leadership experience—particularly experience involving trauma programs, trauma registries, SANE programs, Epic or Oracle Health/Cerner, clinical integrations, or hospital customer relationships—may qualify toward the upper end of the range.
During the initial engagement, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for active customer relationships, implementation activities, training coordination, customer requests, escalations, and internal follow-up.
Based on performance, business needs, and mutual agreement, the position may convert to a full-time salaried role. Any full-time offer would include a competitive salary and benefits package based on the individual’s experience, responsibilities, and performance during the initial engagement.
The engagement may be ended earlier by either party. Continued engagement through the full anticipated period and conversion to full-time employment are not guaranteed.
