What Is the Job of a Freelance Health Writer?
A freelance health writer creates health and wellness-related content for blogs, websites, and other publications. As a freelancer, you can work with several different clients on a contract basis, and your duties vary from client to client. Your responsibilities often include researching a medical or wellness topic, interviewing experts, and gathering other background information before you write the article and prepare it for publication. You may also report on healthcare news or work with medical professionals to create pieces for a scholarly journal. Health writers can also create content for marketing, public outreach, or healthcare education campaigns.
What is the difference between Freelance Health Writer vs Medical Writer?

| Work Environment | Independent, remote, project-based | Often employed by pharmaceutical, biotech companies, or agencies, sometimes remote |
| Industry Usage | Used across health blogs, magazines, websites | Primarily in clinical, regulatory, or scientific documentation |
Freelance Health Writers focus on creating health-related content for various media, often working independently. Medical Writers typically have specialized scientific backgrounds and work on regulatory or clinical documents.
